Life is Beautiful is Back 2019!

With a lineup consisting of artists such as Post Malone and Chance The Rapper, Life Is Beautiful, or LIB, is back in town for 2019. The annual festival takes place downtown for an entire weekend and people from across the nation flock to Las Vegas for the festival for a weekend of music and fun.

Life Is Beautiful was founded in 2013 by Rehan Choudhry. The festival's very first lineup ever was stacked with artists like Australian pop group “Empire Of The Sun”, Vegas born band “The Killers”, and other artists like Earl Sweatshirt, Childish Gambino, and Twenty One Pilots.

However the lineup of artists this year consisted of major artists including Chance The Rapper, Post Malone, Gunna, Lil Wayne, Sheck Wes, Lord Huron, and Billie Eilish. Every year it takes up 18 blocks of Downtown Las Vegas and concerts go until midnight. Due to its popularity, tickets can get pricey. Some ticket prices are, $145 dollars for a one-day admission, $315 for 3 days, and VIP is $665 dollars for 3 days, and $315 for one day.

Last year over 180,000 people attended in the span of the 2 days the festival lasted. Like any other standard festival or event, people under the age of 18 need to be accompanied by an adult. However, for our older students at WCTA, this isn’t a problem. To some, it might be just another festival, but to others, it’s life-changing. “I was really excited to go to LIB this year especially since my friends were going. The festival, in general, was really vibrant, and overall I just had so much fun.” Jolee Hutchinson, sophomore, explained.

This year’s festival proved to be fun and exciting, but next year has the potential to be even better than the previous ones.
