Should Thanksgiving Break be One Week or Three Days?

It's the annual Thanksgiving break and students are looking forward to an enticing three days off of school. Yes, that is correct, only three days compared to the fabulous week off other schools are getting.
Many studies have been conducted showing that one week is more beneficial. Also, a week long break would provide students with a greater ability to travel home to family because it will be more cost friendly.
Sophomore Mosses Feris said, “Thanksgiving break should be one week long because it will benefit everyone from a mental standpoint with the long break. With the extended time, I would relax longer, spend more time with family and friends, and just forget about school for the week.”
Sophomore Stefanie Le mentioned, “It should be one week because we need more time to spend with our family and friends, especially with people who want to go out of town. Also, going to school for only two days doesn't make any sense because we don’t have time to learn anything.”
Both students and teachers believe a longer break is needed to spend more time with family, rest, and prepare for a tough three weeks upon returning. Teachers believe there is not much of a benefit in the two days of school prior due to the concern of not covering the material and actually remembering it.
Many believe Thanksgiving Break should be one week. But what will it take to change the three day break into a one week break?
