Starbucks vs Dutch Bros

If you are a teenager or know coffee, then you’ve probably heard of Dutch Bros and Starbucks, two famous coffee places. There’s a lot of competition between the two, but which is better?

For years, Starbucks has been known for their expensive yet delicious coffee. Their holiday drinks always do well, as they bring back some classics and invent new drinks for people to try. This year, some of their holiday drinks include the Peppermint Mocha Frappuccino, the Iced Sugar Cookie Almond milk Latte/Frappuccino, and the Chestnut Praline Latte.

However, Dutch Bros isn’t going to be left in the dust; their holiday line holds drinks including a Cinnamon Swirl Oat milk latte, Hazelnut Truffle Hot Cocoa, Peppermint Bliss Cold Brew, and Peppermint Bliss Freeze. “I haven’t had any holiday drinks from Dutch Bros so I’m a little biased, but the Chestnut Praline Latte is definitely my favorite holiday drink.” said Sophomore Sienna DeMonbrun.

The two coffee places both are matched evenly, but what it comes down to is: prices and quality.

For most coffee people, they order their drink based on the amount of liquid they get. A pro to Starbucks is that they have a variety of sizes including tall, grande, venti, and trenta, while Dutch Bros only has small, medium, and large. However, Dutch Bros adds more liquid to their drinks.

"I prefer Dutch Bros with their sizes, even though they don’t have as big of a selection. The amount of liquid that goes into a medium size coffee at Dutch Bros is about the size of a venti drink at Starbucks.’ said Senior Maryn Ferguson.

Many have their opinions on which place is better and who has better quality coffee. Happy coffee drinking!
