The MCU Invites a Vampire

Mrobius had arrived! Released on April 1st, 2022, the vampire of the Marvel Universe got a solo movie. The movie had mixed reactions.

Following the storyline of Dr. Michael Morbius, played by Jared Leto, we see him try and find a cure for a rare blood disease that ails him. He tries to find a cure in bats and accidentally turns himself into a sudo-vampire; needing blood to survive. He later finds that the more he drinks blood, the more his control slips and a monster is released.

Junior Yvette Castro had some less than stellar reviews. “The movie really failed to share a comprehensible story line. The movie was way too rushed and the cinematography was mediocre at best.”

Many are in agreement that the movie rushed the storyline. With no slow periods, it was hard to watch and hard to enjoy. Morbius would have been better delivered as a TV show, as then the directors could have flushed out the character instead of rushing to get all the information on the screen.

“It only got the attention it received because it was a marvel movie.” Stated Junior Landon Almanza. Castro confirmed by stating that one good thing that came from it was the new material Marvel/Sony can use. While this is true, if the bad reviews are a preview, it will take a little bit of maneuvering to make another movie worth watching.

Also, Morbius is a Spider-Man villain, why not introduce him with spiderman? What do you think of Morbius? Was it as good as expected or did it flop in your expectations?

The vicious vampire makes an appearance in the front lobby. Watching as people pass to see his movie.
